I am Aidan Gorey. I am a gamer, musician, and designer from rural Georgia. I slap the bass, curate the paints, and now I make the games.
Since stealing my sister’s Gameboy in Kindergarten to play Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, I have thrown myself into the world of gaming. I grew up playing any action RPG I could get my hands on and brought the worlds from the games I played into my school projects and hobby inspirations. I was fortunate enough to meet many like-minded people which ultimately led me toward a career path in entertainment production.
Prior to my career in game development, I was a musician in rock bands that played festivals like Van’s Warped Tour throughout the US. My experiences working with music and art are irreplaceable, but I always wanted to pursue a career in game development and saw the opportunity to make the transition during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I currently design camera systems, broadcast logic, and UI presentation tools at EA Tiburon. I’ve contributed to three shipped titles. Two titles as a Quest & Systems Designer and my most recent as a Presentation Designer. My focus is crafting gameplay moments that feel intentional without feeling scripted: cinematic framing, adaptive UI, and pacing that responds to the player, not the other way around.
Working in games has been everything I hoped for. I’ve developed a deep respect for every discipline involved in making something great, and I’m constantly pushing to level up my skills. whether it’s through design, tech, or just staying curious.
Thus far, my working in the games industry has been nothing short of spectacular, and my appreciation for all industry disciplines has encouraged me to learn as much as I possibly can. I have been working very hard to contribute in my own way to make games as fun and memorable as the ones I grew up on.
